Pre/Post Brazilian Care Instructions

We offer brazilian waxing in a comfortable and clean environment where privacy is of the utmost importance. The Brazilian is a waxing service that removes all of the pubis hair from the labia and between the buttocks. Many clients prefer leaving a strip of hair down the center. This look is often referred to as a landing strip or playboy. Full monty, Sphinx and the Hollywood all refer to complete and total hair removal of the pubic area.

Pre Care Instructions
Following are some really effective tips to follow before receiving your waxing service (for a more comfortable experience):

~Avoid direct exposure to sunlight within the previous 24 hours
~Sexual activity within 24 hours
~Excessive exfoliation or scrubs in the area within 48 hours
~Shaving the area or using hair removal products within the previous two weeks
~Applying lotion in the areas to be waxed
~If you are able (your doctor says it's okay), taking ibuprofen 30 - 60 minutes before your service tends to alleviate some of the discomfort associated with waxing
~Limit caffeine intake so you are not anxious or jittery. Remember caffeine stimulates the nervous system. Also avoid alcohol.
~Schedule your waxing service within the first 2 weeks after your cycle. You retain less fluid and are less sensitive to discomfort.
~ Don't worry, and don't be shy. We (Estheticians) are only concerned with safely and properly removing your unwanted hair as quickly and effectively as possible.
~If you are happy with the look and feel of the Brazilian or the Hollywood, we suggest you book your appointments every 3- 4 weeks, and not letting hair grow beyond 1/2 inch. Maintenance is key.

Lastly, don't try this at home. You may do more damage than manage to this (shall we say) very important area. Trust me.

After Care Instructions

For the first 24-48 hours after you've been de-furred, you may be a tad sensitive. This is normal. For your comfort it's important you avoid the following:

• Tanning beds or direct sun for 24 hours
• Spray or self tanners in the bikini region
• Exfoliation and topical acidic products for several days
• Saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, hot showers and chlorinated pools
• Medical Experts warn against sexual activity within the first 48 hours after any type of bikini wax.
